Chat Basics
Ask questions, write and brainstorm with AI, attach files, and let it remember what matters to you.
Open Chat →Start a conversation
- Open Chat from the left menu.
- Pick a model from the model menu above the message box. You can switch models at any time, even in the middle of a conversation.
- Type your message and press Enter to send. Press Shift + Enter for a new line.
Chat is priced by length: the cost shown next to the box (per 1K tokens) covers what you send and what the AI writes back. Long documents and long answers cost more.
Attach files
Click ＋ next to the message box, or drag files onto the conversation. You can attach images (JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF) and documents (PDF, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPTX, TXT, MD, CSV, JSON), up to 10 MB each.
The AI reads the text inside documents, so you can ask it to summarise a PDF, explain a spreadsheet or rewrite a report. Very long documents are shortened to their first part.
If the ＋ button is greyed out, the selected model does not accept files. Switch to another model.
Edit, regenerate and copy
- Edit one of your messages to change it and ask again. The conversation continues from the edited message.
- Regenerate an answer to get a different version.
- Copy an answer, or just one code block, with a single click.
- Stop ends an answer that is still being written.
Memory
Memory lets the AI remember things about you across all conversations and models: your name, your job, your projects or how you like answers written.
Open the account menu (your avatar at the bottom left) → Personalization to see, add or delete memories. The AI also saves a memory when you say things like “My name is…”, “Remember that…” or “I prefer…”.
Manage your chats
- Your recent chats are listed in the chat panel. Use the search button to find a chat by title or by anything said in it.
- Rename a chat with ✎ or delete it with ×.
- Answers keep generating on the server if you refresh the page, and appear when you come back.
